Job Summary
Job Description:
We seek an experienced Highway/Roadway Expert Witness consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in highway and roadway design construction and safety with a proven
ability to provide expert analysis and testimony in legal cases. This role is perfect for someone
passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise to support the legal process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert analysis on highway and roadway-related cases including accidents design
defects and safety standards.
Prepare detailed expert reports and written opinions based on thorough research and
investigation.
Serve as an expert witness during depositions and trials effectively conveying complex technical
information to non-experts.
Collaborate with legal teams to strategize on case presentations and expert testimony.
Stay updated on industry standards regulations and emerging trends in roadway engineering
and safety.
Conduct site visits and assessments as needed to gather evidence and provide context for cases.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Transportation Engineering or a related field (Masters
degree preferred).
Extensive experience in highway and roadway design construction and safety analysis.
Proven track record of serving as an expert witness in legal proceedings.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to simplify complex
concepts for diverse audiences.
Professional engineering license (PE) preferred.
