Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in critical care settings
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care
  • Monitor and manage patients conditions responding to changes in status
  • Perform procedures and interventions as necessary within scope of practice
  • Educate patients and families about health management and treatment options
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant license in the state of practice
  • 3-5 years of experience in critical care or similar healthcare settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience with patient education and advocacy

Schedule: Friday-Sunday 7p-7a

20-bed open ICU

Patient Volume: 15-16 per shift

ICU admissions and transfers care for ICU patients

Procedures: Central line placement required intubation preferred

Support Staff: Critical Care MD on call anesthesia

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
