Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in critical care settings
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care
- Monitor and manage patients conditions responding to changes in status
- Perform procedures and interventions as necessary within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families about health management and treatment options
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant license in the state of practice
- 3-5 years of experience in critical care or similar healthcare settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience with patient education and advocacy
Schedule: Friday-Sunday 7p-7a
20-bed open ICU
Patient Volume: 15-16 per shift
ICU admissions and transfers care for ICU patients
Procedures: Central line placement required intubation preferred
Support Staff: Critical Care MD on call anesthesia
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
