We are currently seeking an exceptional and accomplished Head Chef to lead our Culinary team within The Strathearn Restaurant.
The Strathearn is the beating heart of fine dining at Gleneagles a glamorous celebration of Scotlands rich culinary heritage. Inspired by the golden age of travel our elegant restaurant combines Art Deco grandeur with a warm theatrical atmosphere where every detail tells a story. Our guests are treated to classic Scottish dishes reimagined with French flair carved flambéed or finished at the table for a true sense of occasion. From the gleam of silver service to the glow of candlelight and the sound of live piano music The Strathearn delivers a dining experience that is as timeless as it is unforgettable.
The on target earning potential for this role is 57445 / per annum based on a 39 hour contract - comprising a base salary of 52445 plus a qualified estimate of 5000 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks benefits and rewards.

- As Head Chef of The Strathearn youll be a pivotal member of our senior Culinary team shaping the creative vision of one of Scotlands most iconic dining destinations. Youll lead with flair and precision continually setting and redefining standards to ensure every guest experience exceeds expectation
- Youll curate a dynamic calendar of culinary events that celebrates world-class Scottish produce blending classic and contemporary techniques to showcase an ever-evolving menu of innovation and artistry
- By benchmarking against the best culinary institutions and forging relationships with exceptional producers and suppliers youll ensure The Strathearn remains at the forefront of fine dining
- Within the kitchen youll champion a culture of creativity and collaboration leading by example to inspire nurture and develop your brigade
- Through engaging menu tastings and knowledge-sharing youll empower your team to deliver every dish with confidence pride and a deep understanding of its story
- Working closely with our Front of House colleagues youll create seamless harmony between kitchen and service where passion communication and shared purpose drive excellence
- Leading the Strathearn Brigade from the front youll share your extensive knowledge ensuring that your passion and expertise are lived through others
- In partnership with our Culinary Development Partner youll continue to develop the teams talent foster engagement and attract the next generation of Gleneagles culinary stars
- Interacting with our guests always warm professional helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

- You bring proven experience leading within a fast-paced quality-driven culinary environment operating at Head Chef level in a restaurant of at least two-rosette standard
- A truly exceptional cook you have a distinguished track record and an insatiable curiosity to keep learning refining and evolving your craft
- With an impeccable eye for detail you take pride in the precision and polish that elevate every service the small touches that make a lasting impression
- Energised by the rhythm of a high-performing kitchen you thrive under pressure balancing multiple priorities with composure and clarity
