The Phlebotomy Supervisor monitors all Pre-analytical activities performed in Frederick Health compliance with CLIA regulations the Supervisor oversees all phlebotomy procedures to assure they meet prescribed standards. This position performs functional duties in the Pre-Analytic and Analytic (i.e. bleeding time) phases in the Laboratory Path of Workflow. Complies with the CLIA standards listed as responsibilities for high complexity general supervisors under 42CFR493.1463.
Minimum Education Training and Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree in Medical Technology Biology or Chemistry preferred.
Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with site policy for new hires. For incumbents must be obtained by November 1 2015. Certification from approved phlebotomy program preferred.
As required by site location current valid drivers license and car insurance required.
Five years of phlebotomy experience required. Progressive roles of increasing responsibility are highly desirable. Must be proficient with neonates infants children adults and the elderly.

Pay is based on experience skills and education. If position is part-time salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid if applicable.
