About the position
This position sits within the History Program of the Department of Archaeology and History part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Departments teaching and research activities are overseen by the Head of Department and also include the Centre for the Study of the Inland. Our researchers are recognised leaders in their fields receiving awards and grants publishing influential works and regularly contributing expert commentary in the media.
Since 1967 the Department has fostered a collegial and supportive environment with regular staff and postgraduate seminars and a strong active research culture. With campuses in Mildura Bendigo Shepparton and Albury-Wodonga La Trobe provides an excellent setting for regionally focused and community-engaged research.
The successful applicant will contribute to the Departments research profile and take part in undergraduate teaching as well as honours and postgraduate supervision where appropriate.
