Clinical Manager Torquay

We are seeking a Clinical Manager to ensure eQuality Support delivers safe consistent and high-quality services aligned with NDIS Practice Standards and our person-centred approach.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide clinical support oversight and guidance to staff supporting evidence-based practice professional development and collaboration across teams. The role connects clinical thinking with everyday disability service delivery helping ensure our systems decisions and supports maintain the wellbeing dignity and independence of the people we support.

The Clinical Manager partners with operational leaders to identify risk strengthen quality and champion continual improvement across all areas of practice. This role is supported by regional Clinical Coordinators in assessing and coordinating timely clinical support to be provided by Disability Support Workers (DSWs) to clients by overseeing daily activities developing related policies and procedures implementing annual DSW learning and development and liaising collaborating with external allied health professionals.

What you will be doing

At a high level you will be:

  • Promote a Just quality compliance and safety culture and contributing to capability uplift.
  • Working with the Clinical Coordinators implement the clinical governance framework as part of eQuality Supports Disability Support Service Delivery Model
  • Supported by the Clinical Coordinators report clinical support quality & safety performance and risks to the Executive.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand and clarify complex clinical needs
  • Operate in a collaborative and consultative manner with clients their families medical practitioners allied health professionals DSWs and the wider Client Service team.
  • Ensuring clients clinical support plans are being delivered by the DSW workforce in relation to High Intensity Supports Medications a Clients Medical needs and changes to their plans.
  • Manage clinical support procedures and policies and lead their continuous improvements
  • Deliver an annual training program to strengthen the clinical support competence of DSWs.
  • Ensure all newly appointed DSWs are appropriately inducted and orientated in clients medicinal needs.
  • Consult with health professionals to seek advice and clarity around achieving optimal client outcomes by enabling and supporting DSWs.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of clients clinical assessments treatment and support plans.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and initiating opportunities to improve client outcomes

About You

You are an experienced RN with 10 years of experience. You excel in supporting leaders and are comfortable pivoting priorities to meet organisational needs. Your strong communication skills attention to detail and commercial mindset enables you to confidently advise leaders driving positive outcomes for both the organisation and its employees.

Knowledge and experience

  • Current AHPRA RN Nurse registration.
  • Minimum 10 years clinical experience preferably in subacute services.
  • Experience in clinical education preferably certificate IV in workplace training or equivalent.
  • Experience in implementing NDIS Practice Standards (desirable).
  • Current Victorian drivers license and NDIS Workers Screening
  • Exposure to clinical risk management would be an advantage
