Role description:
- To operate in a team environment with a focus on project accounting activities of the full project lifecycle resulting in effective business partnering throughout the business
- Operating collaboratively between the technical resources and the wider Finance team
- To assist in the effective management of projects through compliance with company procedure whilst delivering best practice and applying Project Management principles
- To assist in ensuring Arcadis business systems are updated and maintained on a regular basis and provide accurate financial information
- To ensure that cash management activities are a constant focus with a continuous pursuit of improving cash flow by maximising billing and debt collection on projects
- To drive continuous improvement in the development of Financial Processes and Financial systems
- To ensure a superior health and safety perspective in everything the team does
Role accountabilities:
The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and update project financials in Oracle ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
- Monitor receivables WIP and project cash flow; maximize billing and support debt collection.
- Support monthly project reviews providing financial insight and identifying risks.
- Build strong relationships with Project Managers providing guidance on financial processes and ERP systems.
- Review and improve business processes
- Ensure project documentation is complete and meets quality standards.
- Promote and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or similar; 5 years relevant experience.
- Designation (CPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle Power BI desirable).
- Experience in medium/large organizations and project/commercial finance roles.
