Job Summary
We are looking for a Rail Yard Operator who is ethical punctual and self-led! Responsible for railcar pre and post inspection paperwork. Loading and unloading petroleum to and from railcars and tankers. Following all DOT and FRA guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Ensures safety is the number one priority at all times and follows all Health & Safety procedures to ensure the safety of themselves and others around them
- Inspects shipping containers and tankers for suitability to load finished products
- Inspects railcars and tankers to meet the requirements of Railroad and D.O.T.
- Reviews shipping paperwork for product to be loaded
- Prepares paperwork for shipment filing and processing
- Calculates gallons and other calculations as needed
- Loads requested products and volumes indicated on paperwork into trailers and railcars
- Organizes and maintains truck and rail loading areas
- Transfers additives to and from various containers
- Prepares samples of finished products and submits to Lab for approval to transfer and or load for shipment to customers
Qualifications
What does it take to work at Synergy
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of loading/unloading railcars preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Track Mobile experience is a plus!
- Petroleum experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and detail oriented written and verbally
- Must be able to work simplemathematical calculations
- Mechanically inclined is a plus!
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must work well with a team and independently
- Great work ethic and punctual
- Follow direction and take initiative
- Safety minded
- Must be able to stand for long periods lift to 50lb work at heights bend stoop and climb
