Are you interested in delivering impactful and cutting-edge Trade Promotion Effectiveness (TPE) models

Bring your data science and coding knowledge to carry out major refactoring of Trade Promotion Effectiveness models from R to Python.

Important prerequisites and info

• You are currently enrolled in a higher educational institution and can take on an internship for 6 months (375h per week). You could come from multiple educational backgrounds such as Data Science Mathematics Engineering or similar fields.

• Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK and must be enrolled in an educational programme for the full duration of the internship.

• This is a paid internship and the successful candidate is expected to work from the London office three days a week.

Core Responsibilities

• Refactor existing TPE models code from R to Python to ensure compatibility and stability on the Databricks platform.

• Collaborate with the team to understand model logic data pipelines and dependencies.

• Validate refactored Python code to ensure it produces equivalent outputs and performance to the original R models.

• Document refactored code and contribute to best practices for reproducibility and maintainability.

• Gain hands-on experience working with real-world data science models in a production environment.

• Communicate progress challenges and findings regularly to the team.

Youll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team working together to understand how our trade promotions impact sales across markets and how we can optimize them for even greater impact. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work with real-world sales and promotional data based in our London office.

Do you have what it takes

• Expertise in both Python and R programming languages.

• Good understanding of Programming best practices. Experience with Machine Learning (ML) models.

• Collaborative mindset and strong team spirit.

• Strong organizational skills detail oriented and outcome focused.

• Confidence proactivity and ability to work autonomously.

• Proficiency in English language skills.
