Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Returns Clerk to join our team. In this role you will process customer and carrier returns while supporting the Lakeshore standard for Customer Service. Youll be responsible for researching and returning each item to the distribution center in a timely fashion and communicating all returns to Customer Service and the IC manager. Applicants should have one to three years of experience in Returns or a similar role. The ideal candidate also has knowledge of warehouse operating procedures and protocols.
Please note that this position is open to internal candidates only. External candidates who apply will not be considered for this role.
A day on the job looks like this:
- Inspecting returned merchandise and checking product quality and condition to determine return category or class
- Receiving merchandise and following all security and safety procedures for each product type
- Distributing returned items to their proper location considering factors such as product value condition and type of return
- Inputting clear customer account notes in internal systems communicating return reasons customer feedback and instructions to ensure accurate processing; working closely with Customer Service to ensure satisfaction
- Identifying critical distribution issues and reporting them to the team lead/supervisor as some returns may be shipping errors or overgoods
- Entering data as needed to maintain accurate inventory records
Qualifications :

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 13 years of prior returns or similar experience
- Basic computer skills (e.g. personal computers printers email)
- Knowledge of warehouse operations
- Ability to maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Ability to stay focused and on task in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work mandatory overtime
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite especially Outlook and Excel
