Job Summary

Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Head Cross Country Coach atSpringfield High School for the 2026/27 School Year.

Qualifications Required:

Coaching experience;
Cross Country knowledge and experience;
Ability to work with high school students;
Effective communication skills;
Ability to work within school district guidelines and a budget;
NFHS and First Aid certified;
Availability for daily practices and meets;
Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.

Qualifications Desired:

Cross Country coaching experience;
Experience working with high school age students;
Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
Good organizational skills;
Ability to work with individuals and large groups;
Ability to work with parents and booster clubs.
