Job Summary
Security Officer Upper Chesapeake Health Aberdeen
Full time evening 3pm 11:30 pm every other weekend
JOB SUMMARY: Protects the hospital its assets patients team members and visitors. Patrols hospital and grounds to prevent fire theft vandalism and other crimes. Unlocks and secures hospital buildings and offices. Responds to security needs of hospital team members physicians patients and visitors. Interacts with patients families and visitors ranging in age from newborn to the elderly.
Qualifications :
Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Work Orientation & Experience: One (1) year of related experience (military security law enforcement etc.) is preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to read write analyze and interpret security reports. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a variety of situations. Must be able to interpret a range of instructions furnished in written oral or schedule form. Must be able to work well under pressure during emergency situations. Must possess outstanding service excellence skills. Must be able to intervene with physically aggressive individuals.
