The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is currently seeking a Fabrication Painterto join our team in North Charleston South Carolina on Variable shift!
Position Responsibilities:
Prepares interior parts and fabricated assemblies for painting
Makes necessary patterns performs layout and applies prescribed primers paints and finishes to parts and fabricated assemblies
Sanding prepping and painting interior airplane parts
Performs composite lay-up fabrication and assembly tasks
Prepares test articles fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests
Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements
Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to work variable shifts
1 year of experience in aerospace fabrication or manufacturing
1 year of experience with sanding taping mixing material the application of paint
Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 years of experience with airplane painting
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned tasks/work
Coachable and receptive to instruction

Shift
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4).Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.
