$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.
Position Highlights: Research Assistant
What you will do:
Assist in setting up and conducting experiments and procedures including biological assays quantitative and qualitative analyses will work with hardware (multimeter oscilloscope etc)
Assist with writing manuscripts/proposals
Maintain organized and detailed records of results
Adhere to established procedures and research protocols
Work with magnetic resonance imagers
Assemble microdrives
Assist with animal surgeries and experiments
Perform data acquisition and analysisincluding transcriptomics; and support data sharing and documentation.
The RA will work closely with the Postdoctoral Associate to ensure accurate consistent data generation and integration across experimental MRI/engineering and transcriptomic workflows.
Work with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment
Conduct biological assays and related experiments
Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses
Operate laboratory and testing hardware (e.g. multimeter oscilloscope etc.)
Maintain organized and detailed experimental records
Follow established laboratory procedures and research protocols
Assist in designing setting up and executing experiments
Analyze and interpret experimental data
Support manuscript and proposal writing (e.g. methods results figures)
Contribute to experimental troubleshooting and optimization
Excellent written communication skills (scientific writing documentation)
Ability to collaborate effectively within a research team
What you will need:
Education: Bachelors degree in related field (e.g. biology biomedical engineering physics chemistry or related discipline)
Experience: Experience in a research environment or laboratory environment preferred
