We seek a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join the Cortex DevOps group based at our India Development Center (IDC) who is first and foremost a software craftsman with a passion for building innovative tools and platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep-rooted background in software engineering and a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of R&D and DevOps teams. This role is for a true developer at heart someone who excels at building high-quality maintainable and scalable software. Your Impact

• You will write high-quality product and system development code that contributes to the core functionality of our tools and applications
• You will participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders driving alignment around best design practices
• You will review code developed by your peers to ensure adherence to best practices in style efficiency testability and reliability
• You will contribute to technical documentation to support the development and maintenance of internal systems
• You will provide operational support for tools and applications maintained by the Cortex DevOps Tooling team
• You will maintain and build resilient infrastructure with a strong focus on performance security and sound system design principles.

Qualifications :

Your Experience 

• 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer demonstrating deep technical expertise a passion for innovation and a strong commitment to building highly reliable scalable systems that meet strict service level objectives.
• Graduate degree in the field of Computer Science.
• Proficiency with software development in one or more programming languages (Python preferred)
• Proficiency in developing large-scale infrastructure distributed systems or networks or experience with Compute technologies storage or hardware architecture.
• Proficiency with any major Cloud Provider(s) like GCP AWS Azure.
• Experience with developing deploying and/or maintaining micro-services architecture with Kubernetes
• Proficiency in code and system health diagnosis and resolution and software test engineering.
• Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and prioritize and multitask on multiple responsibilities.
