Job Summary

The Job Mission

This position is based in Bridgwater with hybrid working (three days in the office two from home). Relocation assistance is available for those moving closer to site.

We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer Mechanical. In this role youll work closely with project and site teams to ensure the mechanical scope is delivered to the highest safety quality schedule and cost standards. Youll take responsibility for technical leadership documentation and effective stakeholder coordination.

  • Lead mechanical scope delivery aligned to project execution plans.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including suppliers and installation contractors.
  • Monitor mechanical progress costs and schedules against project milestones.
  • Develop technical specifications in collaboration with construction and commissioning teams.
  • Facilitate and chair mechanicalfocused project meetings ensuring contract compliance.
  • Identify and manage mechanicalrelated risks and issues escalating when needed.
  • Maintain uptodate project documentation: PEPs quality plans and briefs.
  • Promote and uphold rigorous health safety environmental and quality standards.

 


Qualifications :

Essential Skills

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Solid experience delivering projects from concept to operation.
  • Strong command of project management principles (APM).
  • Experience in a highlyregulated industry.
  • Proficient in safetycritical environments with strong H&S culture.
  • Ability to manage budgets schedules and commercial frameworks.
  • Skilled in Word Excel and PowerPoint for project documentation.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and H&S at Work legislation.
  • Prior involvement in procurement and tender processes.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and governance frameworks.
  • Exposure to preoperations or commissioning teams.
