Onisite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Saginaw on a full-time basis.

Job Description

The career level process engineer able to work autonomously with occasional guidance from supervision. Skilled in equipment/tooling alternatives sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel material machines and facilities necessary for the production of parts. Work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where creativity and initiative is exercised as well as independent judgment.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):

• SORs and project management for tools stations or specific technologies.
• Typically part of a larger effort or project
• Manufacturing process definition
• Sequence of operations
• Human factors consideration
• Efficient material flow
• Design construction integration plant installation successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
• Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources

Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelors degree in manufacturing technologies or equivalent
• 2-4 years in experience in a process engineering or manufacturing environment
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft office products
• Proficient with blueprint reading and interpretation with GD&T understanding
• Proficient understanding of PFMEA PCP QS-Stat and quality systems
• Understands and can interpret CMM and gage results and apply to correctives
• Proficient understanding of machine tooling fixtures and workpieces.
• Proficient understanding of programs in CNC machines ability to make necessary offsets or adjustments.
• Proficient understanding of cutting tool technologies
• Proficient at troubleshooting setup-related issues and working closely with engineering or maintenance to resolve problems.
• Flexibility to work weekends and other shifts as required
