To deliver on this promise we are building Waypoint our next-generation digital insurance platform. Waypoint involves more than 150 people and 12 cross-functional teams across the Nordics and Latvia. To achieve our ambitious goals we are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with strong technical depth to join our Waypoint Architecture team.
About the Team
You will join Waypoint Architecture part of Ifs centralized IT Architecture organization with Nordic responsibility. Our team of 13 skilled architects covers domains such as Product Customer Policy Invoicing & Accounting and Online Sales.

Were looking for a Technical Architect to step into the role of Performance & Reliability Lead driving cross-cutting efforts that elevate the performance reliability and delivery capabilities of our Waypoint this role youll shape the future of our architecture address legacy challenges and enable continuous delivery at scale.
As part of our architecture team youll play a key role in defining the technical foundation of our solutionsensuring they are robust scalable and maintainable while aligning with our target state and supporting a coherent future-proof application landscape.
What Youll Lead
End-to-End Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks profile systems and drive improvements across the system landscape.
Reliability & Disaster Recovery: Build resilient systems and ensure graceful degradation.
Non-Functional Requirements: Define and uphold standards for performance scalability and maintainability.
Root Cause Analysis & Early Detection: Implement tools and practices for proactive issue identification.
Legacy System Modernization: Use AI to tackle technical debt and unlock new capabilities.
Continuous Delivery Enablement: Champion isolated testing synthetic data and deployment automation.

Who are you
Your Technical Toolbox
Deep understanding of message-based system architecture.
Expertise performance profiling and visualization across distributed applications.
Mastery of cross-cutting concerns: security IoC transaction management caching and scalability.
Strong knowledge (Framework & Core) and runtime environments.
Familiarity with AI tools for legacy systems and modernization strategies.
Currently holding or having the ability to build broad and deep understanding of the Waypoint system architecture.
