Under direct supervision from a Steam and Power Plant V or IV performs skilled work in the repair operation and maintenance of high pressure steam boilers and equipment in the Heating Plant. Maintains repairs and operates HVAC and building mechanical systems throughout all of the campus facilities.

$43.96 per hour
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two (2) years (24 months) of experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
3. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the next lower level of the series (maintain high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment needed to provide steam hot water and heating).
4. Valid drivers license.
5. A final candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam. Employment is contingent on the successful result of the pre-employment physical.
1. Vocational training in general science and physics.
2. Computer Operation knowledge.
3. Ability to work with a wide variety of University personnel.
4. Ability to organize and plan.
5. Ability to resolve problems and follow-up with outcome.
