The Crane Operator is responsible for operating an overhead bridge bucket crane.
Operates overhead bridge bucket crane in DSLF and TDPS to load material into trucks.
Assures that loads do not exceed the overall rated lifting capacity of the crane and that they are properly secured and balanced before lifting.
Checks the crane controls and movements for proper functioning before beginning work and reports any defects to the Foreman.
Performs required preventive maintenance on crane and equipment as directed.
Complies with applicable safety rules and regulations including the daily inspection checklist.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.
Performs work area cleanup as necessary including in the truck lanes during and after loading.
Works weekend shifts as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Key Working Relationships:Interacts with coworkers in the department and with truck drivers hauling biosolids and/or sludge from the Blue Plains Plant.
