Were passionate about coffee and that means we pay a bit more for coffee in order to buy direct and create long-term collaborative relationships with our producers that grow exceptional coffee.

The starting wage for a Barista in Watertown is $17.71/hr. There is an extensive training program and a new hire generally should become full-bar capable within 90 days. After certification the pay rate improves to $18.63/hr. The position is eligible for tips. These average $5.00 -7.00/hr.

Job duties:

• Operationally adhere to policies safety standards and protocols and make suggestions for improving operations

• Prepare and serve beverages that adhere to our freshness and quality standards

• Maintain your coffee knowledge to educate and communicate with guests

• Engage with all guests in a hospitable sincere and friendly manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred

• Speak and read English proficiently

• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality

• Can effectively communicate with others

• Able to learn and master coffee tasting profiles and dial-ins

• Good teamwork skills

• Able to multi-task and work in a high-volume environment

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to see talk and hear

• The employee is required to stand walk and sit on a continual periodically stoop kneel or crouch.

• Will use hands to reach carry hold items or use the tablet/register

• May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Retail store environment

• Noise level is normally moderate
