Learn more about GREATER MSP at POSITION SUMMARY The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a senior partner responsible for driving organizational effectiveness and operational excellence across the enterprise. Acting as a trusted extension of the CEO the CoS works closely with the Executive Team to ensure seamless execution of top priorities often representing the CEO in meetings communications and negotiations. This role serves as a force multiplier for leadership operating at the intersection of strategy operations and impact often leading cross-functional initiatives fostering collaboration and translating the CEOs vision into actionable outcomes. Relationship-building is central to the role with regular engagement across internal teams external partners investors and board members. The ideal candidate is a systems-oriented thinker with exceptional communication skills political acumen and the agility to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced mission-driven environments. This individual brings thought partnership to executive decision-making drives complex projects and cultivates a culture of accountability synergy and excellence. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Driving Partnership Engagement - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal team members external partners investors and board members to foster trust drive alignment and influence key outcomes as the steward of the organizational strategic plan
- Serves as a key liaison to investors and partners to strengthen partnerships by facilitating dialogue and surfacing opportunities for collaboration and growth. Manages high-level partnership relations and negotiations in close alignment with the CEO engaging senior investors and partners to secure mutually beneficial outcomes
- Leads public sector engagement and public affairs initiatives. Collaborates closely with the Enterprise Director of Talent Inclusion and Engagement to ensure alignment between external messaging and internal values fostering partnerships that enhance the organizations visibility influence and impact
- Plays a key role in Board engagement and maintaining Board transparency fostering trust and enabling informed decision-making at the governance level by partnering with the VP of Enterprise Strategy to coordinate clear strategically aligned communications
- Leads updates to Board by laws in collaboration with executive leadership and legal advisors with a focus on refining membership criteria and investor structure to reflect organizational affiliations and evolving governance needs
- Operates as the Board meeting producer ensuring seamless coordination including scheduling location planning committee alignment and logistics. Partners with EA to manage board calendaring updates reports and tailored presentations
Executive Support and Leadership - Drives Executive Team effectiveness and collaboration focused on leadership priorities. Works in this pivotal role as an advisor and operational partner to integrate vision with actionable plans
- Strengthens leadership team cohesion and development by ensuring continuity and alignment. This includes leading Enterprise Strategy Executive Team and Executive Strategy meetings by curating agendas and driving follow-through on action items
- Leads the development and execution of the annual work plan ensuring clear ownership of projects or initiatives and includes measurable outcomes. Oversee progress tracking and reporting to ensure accountability and inform data-driven decision making
- Leads and manages complex cross-functional initiatives that align with enterprise goalsmobilizing team members establishing clear objectives and timelines and ensuring seamless execution.
Operational Excellence Compliance & Organizational Success - Provides financial oversight and performance monitoring helps translate financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-making and ensures budgetary discipline is maintained across the organization
- Oversees enterprise budget planning and developmentin close collaboration with the Controller ensuring alignment with priorities and resource optimization across the organization ensuring financial plans support sustainable organizational goals
- Implement recommendations from the Finance & Audit Committee to reduce complexity and identify opportunities which promote operational efficiencies and improve the process and accuracy of financial planning and reporting
- Explores expanded IT solutions to enhance operational resilience data security and digital enablement. Collaborates with IT lead to evaluate systems and ensure technology infrastructure supports enterprise goals and evolving business needs
- Partners with Human Resources to develop and implement a comprehensive staffing plan aligned with Organizational goals which anticipates future talent needs identifies capability gaps and supports growth
- Supports initiatives such as Organizational health assessments and helps translate insights into actionable strategies that promote engagement alignment and trust for a high-performing culture
- Champions team learning and development by assessing capabilities curating learning opportunities and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Strengthens team cohesion and organizational health by facilitating cross-departmental collaboration
- Ensure organizational compliance with legal regulatory and governance standards working closely with legal counsel to monitor risk uphold internal controls and maintain adherence to evolving policies or procedures
- Supports enterprise risk management to help identify assess and mitigate legal and risk. Serves as a liaison with legal advisors to ensure Executive Team is informed on key issues
QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: - Bachelors degree required Masters degree in Business Administration Public Policy or related field preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in operations consulting JD or executive leadership roles; non-profit experience preferred
- Experience working with C-suite executives in a fast-paced mission-driven environment

- Expertise in managing cross-functional projects/initiatives; prioritize effectively
- Ability to synthesize complex information for different audiences
