About the job:
Advantra is partnering with a Series A AI-native retail software startup in New York to hire a Full-Stack Engineer to build and ship core product features that automate brand operations in brick-and-mortar retail.

About the role:
You will design and implement full-stack features for AI-powered systems that process financial documents collect and analyze data and deliver actionable insights to retail brands. You will work on predictive analytics computer vision NLP pipelines and user interfaces that help brands plan and grow. You will collaborate directly with customers and product teams to ensure the product meets real-world needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Build AI-powered systems for processing financial and operational documents.
2. Scale data collection and integration across multiple sources.
3. Develop predictive analytics and forecasting models for retail performance.
4. Create intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex data for users.
5. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and deliver features.
6. Interface with customers to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
7. Implement end-to-end software solutions from design through deployment.
8. Maintain high code quality testing and documentation standards.
9. Monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
   
   

Core requirements:

1. 4 years of full-time engineering experience in software development.
2. Experience building full-stack applications in production environments.
3. Proven ability to design and ship end-to-end software features.
4. Strong technical proficiency in backend and frontend frameworks (Python JavaScript/TypeScript React or similar).
5. Experience with AI/ML or data processing pipelines preferred.
6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced early-stage startup.
7. Experience collaborating directly with users or customers.
8. Familiarity with data modeling APIs and database systems.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and product-oriented thinking.
10. CS degree or equivalent experience.
    
    

Nice to have:

1. Background in AI/ML NLP or computer vision.
2. Experience with retail or CPG software systems.
3. Cloud development experience (AWS GCP or Azure).
4. Knowledge of financial analytics or accounting systems.
5. Experience with data visualization libraries or frameworks.
