Job Summary

Job Summary:

This position is for a Certified OB Tech responsible for preparing instruments assisting in surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile environment in the Labor Delivery Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The role involves working night shifts and requires experience with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
Location:Charlotte North Carolina United States
Responsibilities:

- Prepare instruments for sterile processing after C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
- Assist in cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
- Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Prepare case carts for surgical procedures.
- Operate equipment such as Bovie suction and RF Assure.
- Manage instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience (5 years for first-time travelers).
- Experience with adults in inpatient and community hospital settings.
- Proficiency in case cart preparation.
- Aseptic and sterile technique skills.
- Experience with Gynecology Surgery Bilateral tubal ligation Dilation & Curettage C-sections and Vaginal delivery.
- BLS certification.
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with general surgery and abdominal hysterectomy.
- Familiarity with EPIC systems.
- First assisting experience.
- Knowledge of crash cart procedures.
Special Considerations:

- RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation.
- Some weekend work is required based on unit needs.
- Night shift positions require the tech to work alone.
Scheduling:
- 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15) in LDRP.
- Manager determines the schedule based on unit needs.
- Orientation is provided during 12-hour day shifts.
