Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients with conditions such as stroke brain injury and spinal cord injuries in an acute rehabilitation hospital setting. This includes patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills with patients providers and team members.
Location:Rochester New York United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in an acute rehabilitation setting.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize special equipment such as Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand lifts.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Experience in an acute rehabilitation hospital.
- Knowledge of CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) patient care.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- EPIC EMR experience.
Special Considerations:

- Must be able to float to MS (Medical-Surgical) unit.
- Every other weekend coverage required.
- No local candidates (within 75 miles).
- Limited RTO (no more than 1 week during the contract).
- Patient diagnoses include stroke brain injury and spinal cord injuries.
Scheduling:
- Days 1:5; Nights 1:12 patient ratios.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed.
