Job Summary:
The MRI Technician is responsible for performing MRI procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort and maintaining equipment. The role requires working variable shifts that may include days evenings and weekends. The expected patient ratio is 1:1.
Location:Portland Oregon United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment.
- Collect and record patient data and specimens.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Communicate patient status and report changes in patient condition to licensed professional.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- AHA BLS Provider CPR
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- N/A
Special Considerations:
- Variable day and evening shifts may include weekends.
- No on-call requirements.
- No block schedules required.
