Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care case management and hospice care to individuals. Responsibilities include patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Location:Kodiak Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care
- Conduct patient assessments
- Administer medications
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Gather and report patient data
- Carry out physician orders
- Perform therapeutic procedures
- Document patient care and related duties
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alaska
- BLS certification
- Clinical Assessment skills
- Medication Administration skills
- Treatment Planning skills
- Minimum 2 years of hospital home health or hospice care experience
- Drivers license and car insurance
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Specialities in Medical/Surgical ICU ER Psychiatric Labor & Delivery PACU or Operating Room
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to work either straight day or straight night shifts based on facility needs
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Housing and a rental car/vehicle are provided by the facility during the assignment
- Travelers personal vehicle insurance policy must have rental car insurance to cover any accidents/damages to a rental car
- The vehicle should not be taken off-road or outside of a 30-mile radius from the facility
Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour shifts per week
- Variable shifts (either straight days or straight nights)
- Exact shift will be determined closer to the start date based on staffing needs
- Guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks
- Traveler can be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
