Job Summary
CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist to join a global materials manufacturing company based near Wigan on a full time permanent basis.
The Company:
Our client strives to be the best innovator of high-performance glass and glazing solutions. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Technologist and are offering a competitive salary from 40000 depending on experience.
Location:
The Technologist position will be based at the companys site near Wigan easily commutable by road from Merseyside including Liverpool Ormskirk Skelmersdale and Manchester. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the companys location.

Your main duties will be:
- Carrying out practical and theoretical work as required.
- Providing urgent technical support to production - this may involve travel at short notice.
- Interacting with other functions e.g. Engineering Manufacturing Excellence Sustainability.
- Reporting to the Team Leader in Flat Glass manufacturing.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Science or Engineering.
- 5 years practical and theoretical experience in a Material-related field preferably glass forming/annealing.
- Project management experience - desirable.
- Full UK Driving licence.
