Job Summary
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager to join a busy analytical laboratory at their site in Middlesbrough. This is a permanent role working Monday - Friday.

The role:
- The overall responsibility of ensuring optimum achievement of operational targets in the most cost effective manner consistent with safe operating practices.
- To lead the teams set expectations with team members create an effective and safe environment.
- Consider improvements and efficiencies to processes and procedures
- To coordinate the daily workload and to ensure the laboratory equipment and test methods are operational.
- To coordinate the Laboratory Work System to ensure adequate staffing levels on the shift pattern and weekend working requirements.
- Provide support to the Day Supervisor and Laboratory Shift Supervisors to ensure relevant documentation and staff training has been completed to meet the daily requirements.
- Degree/Higher National Certificate in related subject.
- Excellent leadership & communication skills
- Experience of leading large high performing teams in similar environments.
- Detailed Knowledge of relevant laboratory operations/standards and properties of relevant chemical products
- Detailed Knowledge of relevant Quality Health Safety and Environmental standards
