Job Summary
The HD Mapping team is seeking an experienced fullstack engineer to lead the development of the web services that supports creation cataloging and maintenance of the HD maps deployed to Zooxs fleet. This role will be instrumental in scaling our mapping operations across cities.
In this role you will:
- Own and architect backend services (FastAPI) for the HD Mapping teams web infrastructure
- Support development of frontend tools for interacting with Zooxs maps
- Automate complex pipelines and workflows
- Mentor team members on web technologies and distributed systems
Qualifications
- 3 years or more of industry experience in backend development and distributed systems
- Comfortable establishing guidelines and refactoring existing code to follow best practices
- Knowledge of database design and API development
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor others
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with React Typescript
- Experience with Python FastAPI Kubernetes and ArgoCD
- Knowledge of geospatial data and coordinate systems
- Experience automating complex workflows (Airflow)
$189000 - $258000 a year
Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling as well as positioning within a level is determined by a range of factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant years of experience domain knowledge and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
