Reports To: Site Superintendent / Project Foreman FLSA Status: Non- Exempt / Hourly / Full-Time
Salary: $55 - $60/ per hour
Job Summary:
State and federal contractor looking for a general laborer. This position supports field operations on marine and heavy construction projects; performs a variety of physical and semi-skilled tasks to assist skilled trades and ensure safe efficient and high-quality work on project sites. Typical work includes loading/unloading materials operating hand and power tools assisting with pile driving concrete placement demolition site cleanup and other construction-related duties as assigned. Individual must be a punctual dependable self-motivated team player with a strong awareness of safety. Work is often fast-paced and may involve tight deadlines. Individuals must be willing to cross trades when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general labor tasks including site preparation material handling and cleanup.
Assist in marine construction activities such as dock pier float and piling installation.
Work in coordination with site supervisors and crew members to complete construction tasks on schedule.
Load unload and move construction materials to work areas.
Assist in rigging and signal operations for lifting and moving heavy components.
Maintain clean and organized work areas ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Assist with non-operator duties such as site cleanup material handling and manual labor when needed.
Work in varying conditions including low light and wet environments.
Lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly as part of daily duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Lift 75 pounds repeatedly
Minimum of 1 year of Laborer experience in construction
Valid Driver License ***
Ability to pass drug screening (at time of hire and randomly while employed)
