Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Drafter to join our team. This position will work closely with the sales team to modify and prepare customer orders ensuring accuracy and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication particularly with panels and enclosures and be proficient in AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce Electrical/Mechanical drawings in AutoCAD for project.
- Each job requires a manufacturing drawing. Works from references/previous designs and engineering concept markups to create fab drawings. Works from Engineer/Sr. Designer markups or notes to produce drawings. Works with the Engineer to resolve design issues.
- Prepares Connection and Layout diagrams required for fabrication utilizing AutoCAD.
- Prepares Mechanical layout drawings required for fabrication utilizing AutoCAD.
- Prepares approval drawings and schematics.
- Prepares mechanical details and flat patterns.
- Familiar with Company Policies.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree in Drafting Mechanical Design or a related technical field or equivalent certification.
- Experience: 25 years of experience in electro-mechanical drafting or related design/fabrication environment.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks or other 3D CAD experience a plus).
* Knowledge of metal fabrication sheet metal panels and electrical enclosure design.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable working directly with sales and production teams.
Preferred:
* Experience in custom manufacturing or industrial equipment design.
