Job Summary

*Summary*

We are seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at an apartment community in Flanders NJ. The ideal candidate will possess a valid drivers license personal vehicle and a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience at an apartment community or similar setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks providing excellent customer service and responding to resident service requests in a timely manner. This is a temporary/temporary to permanent position with the goal of going full-time.

*Responsibilities*

* Perform basic electrical plumbing appliance repair carpentry masonry and painting tasks

* Repair and treat structures such as showers sinks appliances doors/cabinets walls and building exteriors

* Provide excellent customer service to clients residents and other staff members

* Respond to resident service requests in an accurate and timely manner

* Make ready units for new move-ins

* Schedule and complete preventative maintenance programs annually

* Complete grounds work such as grounds pick-up sweeping and light landscaping

* Coordinate special projects as directed

* HVAC or EPA certification a plus

* 1 year of residential multi-family experience a plus

*Requirements*

* A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience at an apartment community or similar setting

* Valid Drivers License

* Reliable Transportation

* Necessary basic tools to effectively complete tasks

* HVAC experience

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

* Excellent communication and customer service skills
