Our Opportunity

To support our ongoing growth PROK are currently seeking a Principal Engineer with experience in bulk material handling conveyors to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to flex your leadership and commercial skills leading a team of engineers and technical professionals

This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Bayswater WA.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and technical professionals
• Support sales and customers through provision of engineering expertise and site assessments
• Domestic and international travel to mining operations for technical assessments and customer engagement
• Foster a high level of stakeholder engagement from the customer through to supply of product.
• Provision of estimates for all enquiries
• Product design and definition including BoMs and routings for PROKs suite of products.
• Ensure the timely progress of work packages meeting customer and internal benchmarks
• Team development through succession and training plans
• Preparation and release of installation and operation commissioning and parts manuals.
• Provide support to PROKs production team as required
• Support the Procurement team on the technical aspects relating to Vendor management and development
• Ensure Compliance to Standards and Regulations through calculations FEA analysis or other means as required.

The Right Person

The ideal candidate for this position would have:

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• 10-years experience in the engineering field of heavy industry
• 5 years experience in an engineering leadership role is highly desirable
• Experience with bulk material handling conveyor design and specification highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience in delivering engineering designs in a complex environment
• Experience in executing engineering design to meet customer and mandated standards
• Customer focused outlook and key relationship development
• Enthusiastic and receptive in interaction with clients
• Experience in providing quality client focus both internally & externally
