This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position with some work on-site and some work from home. The home studio for this role is Irvine CA.

JOB SUMMARY
The Data Manager leads the Quality Assurance Data Team and is responsible for the diverse portfolio of Database and reporting capabilities that inform QA
leadership on how to best test data generated and improve the software created by Blizzard games and online technologies. They architect deploy maintain andtune all technologies that Extracts Transform Load (ETL)) and visualize data for Quality Assurance User Research and Production teams. They will also beresponsible for developing key operational metrics KPIs and insights to aid QA teams in continuous improvement initiatives and the end-to-end delivery of dataproducts that support Test telemetry visualizations. The Data Quality Manager is ultimately responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of databasetechnologies and systems currently in production in the Quality Assurance Data Team. This includes technologies such as MySQL Oracle MS SQL Server TeradataTableau Hadoop and Big Query but must be able to pivot and support new business requirements. Building relationships is a key ingredient for success. The DataQuality Manager will be able to establish a rapport with key stakeholders across Blizzard both game teams and operational teams. By enabling a cooperativerelationship between the Quality Assurance Data Team staff and the product owners who design the applications or operate the systems we pull information.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Primary accountable for the health and performance of systems owned by Quality Intelligence including Microsoft SQL SSIS and Tableau.
• Leverage innovative data mining techniques for data-informed decisions that elevate product quality and drive business excellence.
• Ability to query disparate data systems used across Blizzard including Oracle/Exadata Teradata Hadoop MySQL Big Query and Google Cloud Platform.
• Oversee technical projects that align with business and department goals.
• Collaborate with partner and customer teams on the architecture and health of their environments.
• Develop and maintain information and visualizations to tell compelling stories to key stakeholders. Identify and report trends and insights to support
• QA in meeting its strategic objectives. Conduct meetings to provide updates share information provide training drive change and facilitate effectivedecision-making.
• Provide support and leadership to the assigned team ensuring their performance is managed effectively and fostering a productive positivecollaborative work culture.
• Champion efforts that build synergy trust collaboration and inclusivity within the organization. Own and manage relationships with key partnersresources colleagues and leaders ensuring transparency around critical decisions and trade-offs.
• Establish short- and longer-term goals and objectives for the Data team within quality assurance. This also includes strategic planning road mappingand setting vision for the team.
• Identifying opportunities for innovation by studying new products and industry trends.
• Facilitate continuous improvement efforts and implementation of best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT or software development.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience leading teams in tech.
• Knowledge & Skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors Degree in a related field. Computer Science Statistics or Applied Mathematics preferred.
• A strong foundation in relational and non-relational DB theory.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
• Proficient in quality control tools and methodologies to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
• Ability to define and optimize data management processes and procedures.
• Ability to adopt a proactive approach with a focus on innovation anticipating future technological trends to shape Blizzards data landscape.
• Basic understanding of statistics and/or Finite mathematics.
• Ability to own and handle multiple projects simultaneously and produce tangible results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication planning organization and time management skills.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location.
