About the role:

Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in medical device innovation Boston Scientifics Interventional Oncology & Embolization team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Technician Intern to join our dynamic Research and Development this role youll collaborate with engineers scientists and technical specialists to support prototype fabrication data collection and experimental testing. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact patient outcomes in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.


Work model sponsorship relocation:

At Boston Scientific we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a fully onsite work mode (5 days per week). Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the assembly testing and evaluation of prototypes and product concepts
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and record accurate detailed data
  • Support engineers with design validation and verification activities
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and test reports
  • Maintain lab organization equipment calibration and inventory control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering quality and manufacturing


Qualifications:


Required qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a technical associates program (e.g. Engineering Technology Mechanical Electrical Biomedical Technology or related field)
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18 August 7 or May 26 August 14
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical field or with medical devices
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to follow technical procedures and documentation standards

Maximum Salary: $71552

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly) non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
