Job Summary

POSITION: Electrical Instructor JOB DESCRIPTION: Instructor of Electricity with responsibility for developing coordinating delivering and supervising technical and related theory learning experiences for students pursuing a career in the electrical industry. Instruction will be in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Educations Vocational Technical Education Framework for Electricity. Additional responsibilities as needed including but not limited to updating curriculum. Classes are to be taught to students in grades 9-12 in a regional vocational technical high school. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. At least five years of full-time employment experience directly related to electricity. (Note: an associates degree may substitute for one and a bachelors degree may substitute for two of the five years of required employment experience provided that the degree includes subject matter directly related to electricity and/or in vocational education.) 3. Possession of a current State of Massachusetts Master Electrician License 4. Possession of a current State of Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License 5. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral 6. Competency in computer applications such as Google or Microsoft operating systems 7. Candidate must be willing to pursue licensure according to the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) within a prescribed time period OR possess a valid and appropriate DESE license. SALARY: The salary will be in accordance with the provisions of the approved Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School salary schedule.
