Operating Engineer

Develop your engineering career at JLL!

The Operating Engineer supports operation inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical HVAC Steam boiler electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

You will work on-site as part of an engineering team at a 189334 square-foot industrial building in New Century KS.

Schedule: 7am 4pm / Monday Friday / On call flexibility in case of Emergencies

Compensation: $30-35 per hour

WHAT YOULL DO

Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements) plumbing HVAC systems Steam boiler water treatment locksmith work and general maintenance
Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
Troubleshoot all building systems including electrical HVAC and pneumatic controls
Comply with all safety procedures
Participate in ongoing technical safety and operational process training programs
Other projects and tasks to be assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

3 years of related work experience especially in repair maintenance HVAC plumbing electrical or carpentry
Trade school education union training military service or college is desirable
Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel Teams)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfort working at height
Ability to frequently climb bend kneel lift and/or drive
Strong customer service skills
