Position: Head Custodian
Hours: 8 hours per day
Calendar: 260 days per year (July-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade GED or a minimum of five years of demonstrated successful experience in the custodial field.
- Custodians in this position directly supervise and participate in the training and all phases of cleaning of an elementary some cases this position does all the custodial duties with no assistance from other custodial workers.
- Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment. Ability to lay out work and to estimate time tools and materials needed; experience in building maintenance; perform heavy physical labor; basic techniques of electrical repair maintenance carpentry and sometimes grounds maintenance; maintain simple records.
- Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with students fellow employees and the general public.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish is preferred.
- Pre-employment physical and drug screen required. Prior toa final job offer being extendedto an applicantthe applicant must show proof of successful completion of a Pre-Employment Functional Exam.
- Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- $19.97-$28.85 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
- Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees).
- Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees.
- 12 paid holidays per year.
- 2 personal days per year.
- 12 paid sick leave days per year.
- Up to 20 vacation days per year calculated by years of service with the District.
- Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement.
- Up to $1576 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical dental and vision insurance.
- $4402 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees) $3961.80 (46-hour employees).
- 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
- Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1000-$1600).
