Join IMEG as a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist 1 in Rock Island IL and help to support the design coordination and delivery of professional development programs that build IMEGs talent and support organizational goals. This role owns at least one learning program or initiative from start to finish collaborating with subject matter experts facilitators and internal partners to ensure successful design execution and evaluation. The Learning and Development Specialist 1 contributes directly to the creation of engaging learning experiences that strengthen employee capability and support IMEGs culture of continuous learning.
Principal Responsibilities
Owns one Learning and Development program or initiative from design through delivery and evaluation
Supports the design organization and facilitation of onboarding professional skills or leadership development programs
Creates and maintains training materials guides and course content for assigned programs
Collaborates with internal subject matter experts and team members to develop and enhance content
Delivers or co-facilitates training sessions webinars and workshops as needed
Supports the implementation of learning strategies that blend instructor-led e-learning and on-the-job learning approaches
Stays current on learning trends and emerging tools to enhance content and delivery
Collects and analyzes learner feedback and program data to recommend improvements
Provides coaching and logistical support to presenters and program participants
Assists with evaluating program effectiveness and maintaining accurate records in the Learning Management System (LMS)
Partners with Coordinators to ensure seamless scheduling communication and participant engagement
Manages assigned deliverables ensuring high quality and adherence to deadlines
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong understanding of learning and development concepts instructional design and adult learning principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others
Experience designing or supporting learning programs in a corporate or professional services environment
Confident facilitator or presenter with the ability to adapt to different audiences and delivery methods
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) and comfortable with learning technology tools
Experience or familiarity with Learning Management Systems (Workday preferred)
Proactive problem solver with a learning mindset and strong initiative
Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Education Communication or related field required
3 years of professional experience preferably in Learning and Development or Human Resources
Exposure to adult learning principles instructional design or training delivery preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Salary Range $70000 - $90000 . Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
