About the Role:
As a Maintenance Planner Scheduler II you will play an essential role in supporting the operational efficiency of our Kitchener ON facility a manufacturer of quality crackers. Youll be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities across our facility ensuring that all preventive and corrective maintenance work is completed safely efficiently and on time.
Youll add value to this role by performing various functions including but not limited to:
- Determining the level of planning required for maintenance work including estimating time cost and parts needed.
- Scoping maintenance jobs by identifying materials tools and labor resources requiredwhether internal or through OEMs vendors or contractors.
- Research OEM manuals technical prints and documentation to support accurate planning and execution.
- Scheduling and coordinating equipment shutdowns major equipment rebuilds and preventive maintenance activities.
- Partnering with Maintenance leadership to plan and schedule work on conveyors packaging machinery production equipment and electrical control systems.
- Scheduling all preventive maintenance (PM) orders managing SAP transactions controlling parts inventory and attending daily operations meetings.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date equipment documentation in compliance with standard procedures.
- Performing data entry in SAP to assign schedule and track work orders.
- Preparing and managing unscheduled work orders in response to urgent production needs.
- Supporting other maintenance-related initiatives and assigned duties as needed.
Important Details:
- This is a full-time on-site role on First Shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts.
Youll fit right in if you have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of five years of plant maintenance experience including work with production packaging equipment and at least one year in maintenance planning or scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of electrical controls mechanical systems conveyors and production equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and support repairs.
- Excellent organizational problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with the capability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement systems preferably SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
