Saw Shop Associate FLSA Class: Non-Exempt/Hourly Department: Manufacturing Type: Full-Time Reports To: Manufacturing Director EEO-1 Class: Operatives Starting Pay: $16.40 per hour ***PAY IS BASED ON EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILL Summary/Objective | The Saw Shop Associate operates cutting saws and processes material requests as required by manufacturing. ANCORP recognizes two levels of skills and experience which are outline below. |
Essential Functions | LEVEL I - Operate automated and manual metal cutting saws.
- Cut raw material to length for manufacturing per specification and/or work order.
- Measures work to verify conformance to specifications.
- Deburring and rinsing of cut products.
- Maintains coolant levels for adequate cutting performance.
- Monitors saw performance and blade life.
- Transfer cut raw material to manufacturing.
- Communication with manufacturing quality supervision and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
LEVEL II - Performs job changeover on saws; ensures proper blade speeds pressures and lengths are set and in use.
- Install saw blades and set saw blade tension and cutting speed for the specified operation.
- Maintains saw performance and maintenance and performs preventative maintenance.
- Operation of forklift and necessary equipment for material movement.
- Loading unloading and material receiving and inspection for verification.
- Assists with inventory counts using both the XRF analyzer and MRP system.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications | - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
| Educations and Experience | - High school diploma GED and/or Technical School Graduate or industry recognized certification.
| Skills and Competencies | - Must have basic math/trigonometry skills.
- Able to read write and have a working knowledge of English.
- A knowledge of technical drawings is required.
- Capability to read tape measures steel rulers and essential measurement equipment required for position.
- Conceptual skills.
- Process Improvement.
- Verbal Communication.
- Functional and Technical skills.
- Attention to Detail.
- Tooling.
- Coordination.
- Team Player.
