Hours: 14.4 per week

Were looking for inspiring Outdoor Instructors to join the City of Edinburgh Councils Outdoor Learning team.

What Youll Be Doing

As part of the city based team youll plan and deliver Outdoor Learning activities - mainly bikeability and other biking and cycling training and courses. You will use your skills experience and qualifications to provide clear development opportunities and learning outcomes for every group.

National Governing Body Qualifications:

Essential

• Bikeability Cycling Instructor
• British Cycling Level 2 or equivalent

Desirable

• Summer Mountain Leader
• Rock Climbing instructor
• British Canoeing Paddle Sport Instructor & Touring leader or equivalents
• RYA Dingy Instructor
• RYA powerboat level 2
• D1 Minibus driving entitlement
• Gorge walking and Caving experience

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
