Job Summary and Responsibilities
An associate who under the supervision of a registered nurse is trained to prepare operate and maintain hemodialysis equipment and assist in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatments.
Responsibilities of the hemodialysis patient care technician include but are not limited to the following:
- Use of general patient care and communication equipment such as nurse call pager system;
- EMR; Bedtracking System; all equipment used to monitor patients vital signs including all patient scales.
- Good communication skills including pleasant phone manner and good patient care techniques
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- AHA BLS
- Hemodialysis Certificatewithin the first 6 months of hire or transfer
