Medical Director (DVM) Anchorage Alaska
A well-established small animal practice in Anchorage Alaska is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Director Veterinarian to lead its clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled doctor who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine while fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture. The ideal candidate will balance clinical excellence with strong communication and mentorship abilities helping guide both patient care and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality medical surgical and dental care to patients
Lead and mentor veterinary staff fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
Oversee clinical standards and ensure best practices are consistently met
Build strong client relationships through clear communication and empathy
Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement within the hospital
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
Eligible for veterinary licensure in Alaska
Proven leadership or management experience preferred
Excellent diagnostic communication and interpersonal skills
