Job Summary
Join a leading heart and cardiovascular care team in the Texas Medical Center as a CVICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This full-time night shift position offers the opportunity to provide specialized care for critically ill patients particularly those with heart failure in a fast-paced collaborative ICU environment. If you are an experienced nurse practitioner or critical care provider looking to make a meaningful impact we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality evidence-based care to CVICU patients including those with advanced heart failure.
- Collaborate closely with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary teams to manage complex critical care cases.
- Perform patient assessments develop treatment plans and implement interventions based on clinical protocols.
- Monitor patient progress adjust care plans as needed and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Serve as a key resource for patients families and the ICU care team.
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) required.
- Minimum 23 years of critical care experience (ICU RN or NP).
- Prior experience caring for patients with heart failure.
- Strong desire to work night shifts in the Texas Medical Center.
- Excellent communication critical thinking and patient management skills.
