Development & Maintenance Tech

We are seeking a skilled and versatile R&DMaintenance Technicianto support the upkeep repair and optimization of our R&D equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withAC electrical systemsHVACPLC programminggeneral maintenance andequipment/test fixture fabrication and repair. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency safety and reliability across all systems.

This position is located in APEX NC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on test chamber systems including HVAC plumbing.
• Troubleshoot and repairAC electrical test systemsin accordance with safety standards and regulations.
• Install maintain and programPLC systemsfor automated equipment and processes.
• Fabricate assemble and maintaintest fixturesandcustom equipmentto support R&D engineering.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on machinery and some facility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA NFPA and other relevant safety codes and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience inAC electrical systems including troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong knowledge ofHVAC systems including diagnostics and maintenance.
• Proficiency inPLC programming(e.g. Allen-Bradley Siemens etc.).
• Skilled inmechanical fabrication including welding machining and use of hand/power tools.
• Experience with fixture and jig design and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Mechanical or Industrial Maintenance.
• 5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role.
• OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights in confined spaces and in varying environmental conditions.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed work.
