This role is pivotal in shaping a high-performance culture building operational capabilities and embedding world-class processes and assets to deliver three strategic imperatives: achieving the highest imaginable standards of process safety and integrity in line with Seveso top-tier expectations; driving relentless reliability across high-contribution margin assets critical to business success; and integrating a newly acquired plant to unlock performance and cost efficiencies across our expanded footprint. In addition to these critical business objectives you will also:

• Shape and execute the sites strategy and operational plan ensuring alignment with Envaliors business objectives SHEQ standards and manufacturing goals.
• Provide leadership for both the Stanyl and DAB plants driving seamless integration and operational excellence across these two interconnected facilities.
• Take ownership of safety management crisis response and full compliance with SEVESO III (a Top-tier Seveso site) and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Build develop and inspire a high-performing site management team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and open transparent communication.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersincluding Chemelot CSP representatives regulatory authorities and industry partners.
• Manage the operational relationship with the daily operator of our asset and the ownership of the commercial contract resides with Procurement.
• Oversee cost control budgeting and long-term financial planning
• Champion change management leading the organization through transformation integration and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and leverage an up-to-date talent pool proactively identifying and engaging high-potential candidates for critical roles.
• Serve as the public face of the site representing Envalior during crisis situations and in all external communications.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Masters degree (or equivalent) in a technology discipline.
• More than 10 years of professional experience with significant leadership experience in manufacturing or chemical plant operations.
• Proven ability to lead complex integrated operations and manage change in a high-stakes environment.
• Deep knowledge of Safety Health and Environment (SHE) SEVESO III and regulatory compliance.
• Strong risk management crisis leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.
• Excellent people manager and coach: able to engage develop and inspire teams.
• Customer mindset and external focus; able to operate at tactical operational and strategic levels.
• Experience with budgeting financial reporting and cost control.
• Overall expectation that the Site Director needs to be able to be at site within 45 mins for safety and operational reasons (non-negotiable).
• Proficiency in Dutch and English preferred.
