An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer to join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Bristol.
Based in Bristol you will be joining a small team and will be embedded with our customer team on site. You will be partnering with our customer and interacting with our wider safety this varied role a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer will have an opportunity to work in a high tempo environment directly supporting the submarine flotilla.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office home or another remote location. Its a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum were all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week.
What you will be doing
As a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer you will be supportingsite MoD safety campaigns relating tosubmarine platform safety delivery.
- Partnering and collaborating with the MoD customer to ensure submarine platform safety programme milestones are met to time cost and quality.
- Representing the MoD customer in all respects at key stakeholder meetings.
- Supporting the making of key decisions that will impact the platform safety case programme.
Responsible for chasing responses to and closing out actions raised against platform safety projects.
Who were looking for:
The Safety Case Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience writing and supporting Safety Cases
- Ability to gain a thorough understanding of the relationship between reactor plant and submarine platform safety
- Experience working with customers or suppliers and stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work unsupervised and confidently represent the customer in stakeholder meetings
- Qualification to Bachelors Degree Level in an associated Engineering discipline

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individualswho are a UK national or in MoD approved cases a dual national.
