As a Group Financial Reporting Accountant you will play a key role in supporting Service Streams statutory and special purpose financial reporting obligations. This mid-level role requires strong technical accounting expertise a collaborative mindset and the ability to partner with corporate cost centre managers to deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting across the business.
Youll be part of a high-performing finance team based out of our Melbourne office (Docklands) with hybrid working arrangements available for a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Please note this is a permanent full-time position.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly interim and annual statutory financial statements for Service Stream Group.
- Support the coordination of interim and year-end audit processes liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of Audit and Risk Committee papers and technical accounting documentation.
- Lead or assist in special purpose reporting and compliance for subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Prepare monthly consolidated balance sheets and perform analytical reviews of key accounts.
- Identify and implement process improvements based on audit feedback and business needs.
- Participate in finance projects including ASRS implementation taxation treasury and internal audit.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner for Commercial Business Development and HSE cost centres.
- Deliver monthly management reporting budgeting and forecasting for assigned cost centres.
- Collaborate with cost centre managers to provide financial insights and drive process improvements.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience.
- CPA / CA qualified or equivalent (desirable).
- Strong experience in general ledger review account reconciliation and variance analysis.
- High numeracy skills and ability to manage large volumes of data.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and responsive to change with excellent time management skills.
